As the fire of the current year is quickly dying down and a freshly prepared hearth of the New Year is ready to be lit I wanted to send a heartfelt Thank You to all of you who have visited my blog, viewed my photos, read my musings or shoert poetry, and occasionally given lovely comments.

This blog is an outlet of my inner artist, always free to read, always free of advertising, always free of merchandise or sales pitches, and it will remain that way. I actually pay to have the ads removed, so you don’t have to see them. It matters to me. I can’t stand them myself.

So, as we have wrapped up what has undeniably been a tumultuous year 2025, the new one is shaping up to be equaly tumultuous, if not even more so. But in the background, there is a large wave brewing, akin to a tsunami. A wave of energy to be reckoned with, it will be graceful and kind, yet also unrelenting and will sweep those who oppose it or who divide us. No barriers, walls or fortresses, manipulative news outlets, social media platforms, advertising machine will withstand its sheer force.

That wave is called freedom.
That wave is called grace.
That wave is called compassion.
That wave is called forgiveness.
That wave is called respect.
That wave is called mindfulness.
That wave is called wellbeing.
That wave is called gratitude.
That wave is called peace.
That wave is called LOVE.
There is no one alive whom it won’t touch.
There is no one alive whom it won’t benefit and uplift.

So, as I welcome you to embrace this wave and let it take you places you would have never even dreamt of, I wish all of you a very Happy New Year, full of wellbeing, peace and prosperity.
And even if you are celebrating in solitude, with the audience of one, do know you are not alone, for you have the most important person in your life keeping you company, …YOURSELF!
And it’s time they are treated with compassion and kindness…

Be the new kind, genuine and authentic you. The real YOU which you were born to be. People around you will take notice and follow your lead. Freedom does not need to be fought for or guarded, for freedom is the only option there is, as History has taught us time and time again. Freedom is the only outcome.
