Greener On The Other Side?

Remember the lie
that grass is always greener
on the other side?

#haiku

On hot sunny days we dream of cold winter nights cradling a mug of piping hot tea, sitting in front a fireplace with mayhem of flurries swirling outside the frosted window.

On frigid and gloomy winter days we dream of the warmth of evening summer sun bathing out faces.

All the gifts of life are seldom noticed, or good enough, in our never ending quest for more, for better.

If only one had the awareness to stop in the present moment and show gratitude for what simply is…

I’ve heard this beautiful wisdom, which emphasizes the old truth so many of our generations have all but forgotten:

“Grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Grass is always greener on the side where it receives more love…”
