Chicago’s L won’t break any records in speed, let alone in reliability and timeliness of schedules. It reminds me of Berlin’s S-Bahn, which is also very slow (hence the moniker “schnell-bahn”).
But when the L gets going that thing puts out so much noise outside of it makes my ears ring and it feels as if sky is falling. On the latter, the sky literally starts falling, if you happen to be under the L, because all sorts of crap start coming down, water, rust, dust, you name it…
This pic is actually infrared, but processed in a B&W preset in DxO to imitate FujiFilm Across 400. Did not do any channel swap before the filter and not much in terms of mixing. It’s close to how it came out of the camera. Sweet tonality.
